We’re also thrilled to announce that our very own master teacher Tom Loughlin (an Artie Award winning actor and Distinguished Professor Emeritus from SUNY Fredonia). STAGED READING SERIES

COME SEE A SHOW!

Here at Take 5 Studios, we don’t just do acting classes! Every actor will tell you there’s nothing like performance, so to bring summer to a close our students get a chance to hit the stage.

All our staged readings feature only Take 5 students, so come see why Take 5 Studios is one of the best reviewed acting studios in Rochester, NY!

What’s a Staged Reading?

A staged reading is simply a performance of a play where the actors are all reading directly from the script. They don’t have the same lighting, costume, and other design elements that a full play would have, although some do utilize different staging elements to tell the story!

Think of it like an audio-book that you watch!

That’s right everyone, now is the winter of your discontent made glorious summer by taking an acting class here at Take 5 Studios! It’s yet another year, and we had tons of fun things happen with our studio! We had our first student get cast on TV, sold out classes in our final two semesters, and got a staged reading of a local film-writer onto our stage! We’d love to have you check us out for an acting class in 2025.

There’s nothing like getting cast! Take 5 Studios current student Darryle Jermaine just booked a spot on CBS’s hit series FBI: Most Wanted and we couldn’t be more proud! Congratulations Darryle!

How’d He Do It?

Getting cast isn’t easy! It takes talent, hard work, training, and a bit of luck! Some of those we can’t help you with, but training is something we can definitely provide

Darryle used our studio for acting classes here in Rochester, and also used us to tape his audition! Our studio can help you get prepped up for an audition, and then record a finished product for submission.
