ERIC LOUGHLIN

Eric has spent the last 13 years working as an actor, director, and musician in Chicago, Illinois.  He has starred in several productions during that time (resume link above) and was nominated for the 2019 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Ensemble for his work in Haymarket (Underscore Theater). As a stage musician, Eric was the piano/bass player in the house band for the City Life Supplement podcast, as well as a featured pianist for Locked Into Vacancy’s Tonight it’s Live podcast.  Eric has been seen on national television in commercials for Verizon, On the Border, and Lowe’s, as well as a guest appearance on NBC’s Chicago Fire.  He is also a proud card carrying member of the Screen Actors Guild.

Eric also holds a B.F.A. in Performing Arts from Nothern Illinois Unviersity. At NIU, Eric studied the Meisner technique under Katheryn Gately who co-ran Sanford Meisner’s studio in New York City, The Neighborhood Playhouse, with Bill Esper. Eric also studied abroad at the Moscow Art Theater, the birthplace of modern acting technique.

Eric brings a passion for people, and believes that acting is for everyone!  With a family history of teachers and artists, Eric has a deep interest in helping people grow and mature as both artists and people.  As a Western New York native, he is very excited to open Take 5 Studios and bring his experience and love of acting to the Rochester area.
